Is Life's MP3 player: listen without your phone

MyVibe Is Life is the only model in the range with internal memory: 4 GB dedicated to a built-in MP3 player (verified MyVibe product fact). This choice answers a physical constraint: the Bluetooth signal does not travel underwater. To swim with music, the headphones therefore have to carry their own audio files.

How it works

Audio files are transferred to Is Life's internal memory from a computer. From then on, the headphones work fully on their own: no smartphone at the poolside, no app, no signal to maintain (see Swimming with a bone conduction headset).

Supported audio formats (verified product fact)

Is Life plays MP3, WAV, FLAC, WMA and M4A formats. In practice:

  • MP3: the universal format, compatible everywhere.
  • FLAC and WAV: lossless, but the files are heavier — they use up memory faster.
  • WMA and M4A: common compromises found in existing libraries.

How many tracks and hours?

Is Life offers around 35 h of listening in MP3 mode (verified MyVibe product fact). As a rough guide — general information, it depends on format and bitrate — 4 GB corresponds to roughly 800 to 1,000 MP3 tracks encoded at 128 kbps with an average length of 4 minutes. With FLAC files, the number of tracks drops, sometimes by half or more.

Battery: two battery lives

Is Life has two listening modes with distinct battery lives (verified product facts): 8 h over Bluetooth out of the water, about 35 h in internal MP3 mode. Recharging is done via a magnetic cable.

Summary

  • 4 GB of internal memory, MP3/WAV/FLAC/WMA/M4A formats (product fact).
  • ≈ 35 h of MP3 listening, 8 h over Bluetooth (product fact).
  • ≈ 800–1,000 MP3 tracks at 128 kbps on 4 GB (general estimate, depends on bitrate).
  • Files transferred from a computer, standalone playback while swimming.
