The Bluetooth signal does not travel underwater. That is why swimming requires a headset with onboard storage: Is Life carries an MP3 player with up to 35 hours of stored music, independently of the battery life (8 h of continuous playback).
IP68: what exactly does the certification cover?
The IP68 certification allows immersion. You can swim with Is Life; the other MyVibe models withstand rain and sweat, but not immersion. The model-by-model detail is in the FAQ.
In practice
Transfer your tracks to the built-in MP3 player, clip on the headset, and leave your phone in the locker room. Ideal for laps as well as triathlon — the non-IP68 models remain perfect for getting out of the water, the transition and the bike leg.
